Once a summer retreat for theater legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontaine, Ten Chimneys has been meticulously preserved and remains furnished with the same diverse art collections, exquisite decor, historic furnishings and irreplaceable memorabilia collected by the estate's legendary owners. Ten Chimneys, whose hospitality was once cherished by such Golden Age thespians as Helen Hayes, Laurence Olivier and Katherine Hepburn, is now open to the public, offering informative guided tours; lectures lead by renown art critics, historians and biographers; as well as an array of arts education programs on the lovely 60-acre estate. It is located approximately 30 miles west of Milwaukee in Genesee Depot.
